With the purpose of learning something new and keeping ourselves up-to-date with the surroundings, TFVEC started organising General Knowledge Quiz Competition in 2003. Initially, it was organised at Kamran Education Centre, Patan for 5 years as KEC is the centre of education and also the appropriate platform. But, to serve the root purpose of educating and creating awareness at rural level, TFVEC (after gaining enough confidence) decided to organise the quiz competition in each village every year. As a result, the quiz competition was organised in Vaghrol in 2008, Meta in 2009 and Kakoshi in 2010.

Since its inception, the participants have been mainly from village. So, the level of questions have been in accordance with them. But with every year passing, the level is taken to the next level and the participants are responding very well. The quiz has both general knowledge and islamic questions. The portion of general knowledge varies from 70% to 85% and the rest are islamic questions.

A group of 3 people are required to form a team representing a single village. In 2003 and 2004, all the participant teams played quiz. Top five teams were selected to play final quiz. The quiz competition lasted for 3 days. Then, due to time constraint, the quiz competition format was changed in 2005. It is divided into 2 parts:
a) Written round: This is the preliminary round as well as elimination round where top 5 teams get selected from all the participant teams. To include more and more villages into this, only one team from a village can enter the final round. In case, two teams from a single village come in top 5 then they are given an option to change their team and make the best team out of two teams.
b) Final Quiz: The quiz is played in front of audience. There are 5 to 6 rounds including general knowledge, islamic, buzzer, etc. The team with the maximum score at the end get the trophy.
